"A funny thing has happened over the last couple of years: turns out that justice is not too radical an idea for the American people." "The ideas that we talked about were considered by establishment politicians and mainstream media as being too radical, too extreme," Sanders said to cheering supporters on Saturday. Sanders' ideology, which only three years ago was commonly labeled as radical, has now been embraced by a wide swath of the Democrats seeking their party's presidential nomination. (Beto O'Rourke recently outdid Sanders after announcing his own bid for the White House: $6.1 million in his first 24 hours.)

Rather than fess up to their incompetence they'll look to blame Bernie.Since running for president back in 2016, Sanders has been catapulted from narrow recognition among progressives to icon status among mainstream liberals, and the main points from his 2016 platform - raising the federal minimum wage, creating universal healthcare, protecting the environment, reforming the criminal justice and immigration systems, and making public universities free - have become litmus test issues for his Democratic rivals.Īfter announcing his bid for president in February, Sanders raised nearly $6 million in just 24 hours - setting records and surpassing the fundraising efforts of every other Democratic presidential candidate to that date. The "Bernie wasn't hard enough on dems" line sounds eerily like the loaded finger pointing we're going to endure in the months to come imo and less the reason for his loss (but who really knows? Is it possible to find out or is it just an opinion?). They pushed for Biden super hard but enthusiasm is piss poor. The binary race hasn't even started but watch as they begin to look for a scapegoat. As far as pointing fingers are concerned, watch and see, the dems will now begin pointing at Bernie and all his followers. It was always whose pushing Bernie or whose behind bernie, everything was in reference to Bernie. He called out Joes billionaire donors in debates, hes argued against all the dem front runners, but I disagree that you need to be nasty to appear "strong." He was the guy to beat.
BERNIE HINDSIGHT 2020 HOW TO
Insulting and antagonizing is not how to effeciently create change imo.
BERNIE HINDSIGHT 2020 DRIVERS
You can blame the racecar driver but if he doesn't have the same machine as the other drivers I think you have to take that into consideration. I think if it's upgraded with the times that you'd have much greater participation. I don't mind objective cristicsm but blaming bernies loss on him not alienating a large swath of the political spectrum is less than objective imo.
